Terms and Conditions – LUNASCAN LTD
1. The Services
LUNASCAN LTD provides private diagnostic ultrasound services across pregnancy, musculoskeletal (MSK), general abdominal, gynaecological, fertility, head & neck, and soft tissue (lumps and bumps) imaging. All scans are performed by HCPC-registered or suitably credentialed healthcare professionals including sonographers, radiographers, or doctors.
With your informed consent, we will carry out the relevant ultrasound scan and provide a clinical or well-being report depending on the selected service. These scans offer valuable insights and reassurance but are not substitutes for NHS antenatal or diagnostic pathways. If any concerns are identified, we will recommend referral to your NHS care provider and, with your permission, share our findings accordingly.
2. Medical Advice and History
Our ultrasound services are non-invasive, targeted assessments and not exhaustive medical evaluations. We do not have access to your full clinical records and cannot offer medical diagnosis or treatment beyond the imaging scope. Our reports provide limited snapshots and should be interpreted in conjunction with your GP or consultant. You are strongly advised to continue all routine NHS or private appointments. With your informed consent, we will carry out the relevant ultrasound scan and provide a clinical or well-being report depending on the selected service. These scans offer valuable insights and reassurance but are not substitutes for NHS antenatal or diagnostic pathways. If any concerns are identified, we will recommend referral to your NHS care provider and, with your permission, share our findings accordingly.3. Scan Method
Most scans are carried out abdominally. For early pregnancy (6–15 weeks) and many gynaecological cases, a transvaginal scan may be recommended for optimal imaging.
MSK, head & neck, and soft tissue scans require high-frequency transducers and focused techniques depending on the anatomical area. Testicular scans are external and follow sensitive, high-quality imaging protocols.
A trained chaperone will be offered and will be present where clinically appropriate during intimate examinations, based on patient comfort and professional standards. Patients always have the right to decline a transvaginal scan, although this may limit image clarity or accuracy depending on the indication.
4. Right to Modify Services
We reserve the right to improve, modify, or change aspects of our service delivery without prior notice, in line with clinical standards and service development.
5. Photography and Recording
Personal photography, audio, or video recordings are not permitted during scans to maintain clinical focus, patient privacy, and service professionalism.
